Active | The course field shows whether the course is active or inactive. Select Yes to activate the course or No to deactivate the course. |
Subject | The Course type is the default. |
Open course | "No" is set by default. If you select "Yes" here, the course will be login-free. This means that the user does not need a username and password to start the course. The course will be open to all. |
Shareable | If the course is shared, it can be used by other schools / companies within the same customer group. |
Show first page | The course opens the first page of the course. This is typically a main menu. |
Resolution | This option controls the pixel size of the course pages as they appear in the user interface. "800x768" is set by default. More sizes / resolutions will eventually come. |
Controlled progression | “No” is set by default. With Controlled Progression , you can decide that the user should not be able to advance to the next chapter or page of the course until the page is completed. |
Password | Enter a password here if you want to protect your course from changes. To enter and edit the contents of a protected course, the course developer must enter the password. |
Parameters | Used for special cases. |
Available time | One can limit how many minutes this course can be used at school. Summarized by all time spent by school users. |
CourseId | For technical use. Here you can see the course number in the system. |
Passed type | Various parameters can be passed to the other system: No requirements, % completed sections, % points of all available, % points from a random test or a combination of %completed & random test. This is important to set if you want to be able to use the "Pass" column in, for example, the report "Performance per class". |
Pass percentage | Here a percentage is set for the different types of passing for the course. For example, 80% of the pages should be completed. This value is also used in integration with other systems when sending a message to the other system (for example an HR system) that the course has passed. |

Assignment | Response Allows the course author to post responses to assignments. |
Back button | The back button allows the user to step back in the course without having to use the menu. This can be turned on or off. |
Choose chapter | Provides access to the Content menu. |
Collaboration | Gives users access to a chat room for the course. |
Course Status | Provides the user with information on progression and status in the course. |
Dictionary | Allows you to use your own glossaries in the course. Made in the authoring tool. |
Encyclopedia | Lets you gather a variety of links to resources on the Internet and present them in a separate lexicon. Made in the authoring tool. |
Hide inactive users in reports | Inactive users will not be visible. |
Hide My Files | The "My Files" feature on My Page is removed. |
Hide My Texts | The text editing feature is removed. |
Interaction | Gives users access to an online interaction room, WEB camera and chat. |
Link | Can be used to refer to a specific page on the internet. For example, the company website. |
Last visited page/ Bookmark feature | Jumps to the last page where activity is registered. |
Math Player | Design Science Mathplayer. This requires Java. Rarely used feature. |
Math Editor | Allows users to make their own Java-based math. |
Note | Allows users to write in a “Yellow” note pane on each page of the course. A report can be obtained on these. |
Share notes | Allows users to read and comment on each other's notes on each course page, in "yellow notes". |
Show course menu | When the course is started, the content menu on the left automatically opens. Otherwise, it is hidden and appears by clicking on "Content menu". |
Show detailed test summary | Applies to "Random test". The report will show details of the task. |
Show free courses in reports | Also shows courses that are directly linked to a user in reports that apply to classes. Normally, a class report only shows results for courses given through the class. |
Show progression bar | Turns on and off display of how much the user has completed by the course (given in number of pages completed by total number, and percentage of correct answers given in percent). |
Show top menu | The course menu is placed on top of the course window itself. |
Task | Help Displays or hides the Help feature in the upper right corner of a paragraph. |
Today's tips | If selected, the administrator can send today's tips to anyone taking the course. |
