Change the properties of a course

Explanation of the options on the tab Title:

Under the tab Title, enter the name of the course in the field English. If the course is to be used in several languages, enter a title in the other fields. It is the mother tongue of the course that determines which title should be displayed to the user.

Explanation of the choices in the sheet tab Information:

Open 6.1.3_titletab.

Active

The course field shows whether the course is active or inactive. Select Yes to activate the course or No to deactivate the course.

Subject

The Course type is the default.

Open course

"No" is set by default. If you select "Yes" here, the course will be login-free. This means that the user does not need a username and password to start the course. The course will be open to all.

Shareable

If the course is shared, it can be used by other schools / companies within the same customer group.

Show first page

The course opens the first page of the course. This is typically a main menu.

This option controls the pixel size of the course pages as they appear in the user interface. "800x768" is set by default. More sizes / resolutions will eventually come.

Controlled progression

“No” is set by default. With Controlled Progression , you can decide that the user should not be able to advance to the next chapter or page of the course until the page is completed.

Parameters

Passed type

Various parameters can be passed to the other system: No requirements, % completed sections, % points of all available, % points from a random test or a combination of %completed & random test.

This is important to set if you want to be able to use the "Pass" column in, for example, the report "Performance per class".

Pass percentage

Here a percentage is set for the different types of passing for the course. For example, 80% of the pages should be completed. This value is also used in integration with other systems when sending a message to the other system (for example an HR system) that the course has passed.
