Completion Requirements for Pages

Info
As the learner advance in a course there are different ways to register and control the progress. Each page can be marked separately..

A page can be set to:

Required

This is the default setting for all new pages. This means that the page will be marked as completed when:

a) The page is opened/visited - and the page contains no exercises and/or interactivity

b) If the page contains one or more interactive elements the user must finish the elements before the page is marked as completed. Otherwise the page is marked as “visited”. As default a video must be started to mark the page as completed and exercises must be submitted.

Mandatory

When a page is marked as “mandatory” all the elements on the page must be completed / done before the user can navigate to the next page. Eg the entire video must be seen or the exercise must be submitted before the next button is activated . It is not possible to use the menu to go to pages after the mandatory page(s). Until now it is only video embedded from Vimeo that can be mandatory.

Optional

Pages marked with “optional” don’t count in the summary at the end of the course. If a course has 10 pages and 5 of them are optional it is only the 5 marked as complete or mandatory pages / excercises that counts in the result page at the end of the course. A course with all the pages set to optional is completed when the course is opened. Optional pages that are completed or not visited are marked like this in the menu:
