Create discussion groups and allow a user to join a discussion group
To create a discussion group:
From the main menu, select “Users”.
Click the star icon to the left of a random user to bring up the pop-up menu.
Select “Discussion Group” from the pop-up menu. You will see a list of all discussion groups at the school. Here you can link users to existing discussion groups. You must then select the users you want to associate with the discussion group.
To create a new discussion group, click “Create New”. You get a form where you select courses, give the discussion group a name and decide on a topic.
Click “Save”. A new discussion group has been created. You can now place users in the discussion group.
To place users in the discussion group, select one or more users, and click “Discussion Group”. Select the desired discussion group from the list and click “OK”. Users can now participate in the discussion the next time they are in the course.
