Scoring Rules and Formula
The score for an exercise is based on the point value you assign and how the learner selects alternatives.
Formula
- Partial score for each correct alternative = total score ÷ number of correct alternatives
- Partial score for each incorrect alternative = total score ÷ number of incorrect alternatives
- The final score never goes below 0

Examples
Example 1: one of three
Exercise score: 1 point
- Learner selects the correct alternative: 1 point

Example 2: multiple correct alternatives
Exercise score: 1 point
- Each correct alternative adds 0.5 points
- Each incorrect alternative subtracts 0.5 points
Example:
- Two correct and one incorrect:
0.5 + 0.5 − 0.5 = 0.5 points - If the result drops below 0, the score is set to 0
