Weighting, Scoring, and Completion
This section explains how individual exercises affect the total score and how course completion is determined.
Weighting exercises
By default, each exercise is worth 1 point. You can increase the point value to give an exercise more weight in the total score.
Scoring as a percentage
When scores are reported to a SCORM-based learning portal, the total score is converted to a percentage of the maximum possible score.
| Exercise | Score | Percent of total |
|---|---|---|
| Exercise 1 | 1 | 10% |
| Exercise 2 | 1 | 10% |
| Exercise 3 | 2 | 20% |
| Exercise 4 | 4 | 40% |
| Exercise 5 | 1 | 10% |
| Total | 10 | 100% |
Course completion and success
Course completion settings are defined in course properties.
You can combine:
- Minimum pages completed
- Minimum score to pass
If both values are set to 0, starting the course is enough to complete it.
Special cases
- Exercises with a score of 0 points are treated as regular pages for completion tracking
- Optional pages with exercises are excluded from the total score and completion criteria
Completion is based on course-level requirements such as minimum pages and minimum score. See Completion Requirements.
