Paid Groups

Sell access to groups using WooCommerce integration. When users purchase access, they are automatically enrolled in the group.

Prerequisites

Before setting up paid groups, ensure:

  • WooCommerce is installed and activated
  • WooCommerce integration is enabled in Mentorkit settings

Setting Up a Paid Group

  1. Edit your group in Mentorkit → Groups
  2. Set the Access type to Paid
  3. The WooCommerce Settings section appears with pricing options

WooCommerce Product Options

You have two options for linking a WooCommerce product:

Create New Product

Select Create new product to have the plugin automatically create a WooCommerce product when you save the group. This is the simplest option for most cases.

Select Existing Product

Select Select existing product if you already have a WooCommerce product you want to link to this group. Use the dropdown to choose the product.

This is useful when you want to use an existing product with specific settings, or when migrating from another setup.

Setting the Price

Regular Price

Enter the Regular Price for the group. This is the standard price users will pay.

Sale Price

Optionally set a Sale Price. When a sale price is set, it becomes the active price instead of the regular price. Users will see the original price crossed out with the sale price displayed.

User Purchase Flow

When users visit a paid group's page:

  1. They see the price and a Buy Now button
  2. Clicking Buy Now adds the product to their cart
  3. They complete checkout through WooCommerce
  4. After payment, they are automatically enrolled in the group
  5. They receive enrollment confirmation emails

Price Display

The product price is automatically displayed on:

  • The single group page (next to the Buy Now button)
  • Group cards on the archive page
  • Group cards in the [scorm_groups_grid] shortcode output
